Modern Trends in AI-Based Education and Its Role in Developing the Educational Process

Abstract

This era is often described as the age of digital technology and automated computing, due to the pervasive spread of digital media across all aspects of public and private life. Almost no field is free from applications of digital computing and artificial intelligence, to the point that these tools have become an essential part of people’s daily and academic activities. They now intervene in many aspects of daily life, particularly in communication. Regarding the educational system, AI has enabled the development of more flexible and efficient learning models by relying on algorithms capable of analyzing learners’ data and improving the quality of the educational process. This is achieved through adaptive learning systems that adjust the level and pace of content delivery according to the learner’s performance. AI in education therefore serves two key objectives: first, preparing individuals to become more adaptable workers and responsible citizens in a world increasingly shaped by AI systems; and second, harnessing AI’s powerful potential to continuously enhance and develop education and training.
