Design of a strategic model for mitigation of administrative and financial risks in health SMEs for Colombia

Abstract

From the perspective that small and medium-sized enterprises are a fundamental productive force for the economic development of a country, it is necessary to address the problems that affect its growth and sustainability over time, since a cessation of operations in this type of organization generates Effects that not only harm the nation's economy but also the quality of life of those who are part of it, benefit from its services or goods offered. This reality is clearly seen in health SMEs in Cali Colombia, where there is an inappropriate management of financial risks that increase uncertainty, decrease the value of these companies and condition the access of users to the provision of health services. In this sense, this article is the result of a research carried out in this area of knowledge and whose main objective was to propose the design of a strategic model that aims to mitigate administrative and financial risks that affect small and medium-sized companies. Health Provider Institutions (hereinafter IPS) of the municipality of Santiago de Cali, based on the results of the research carried out. In this sense, the survey and others were used as a research instrument with which it was possible to analyze various factors that increase the risk index and therefore, with the results obtained, they allowed to propose the type of strategic model that adjusts to the reality of the organizations In mention.
