As the first responders in emergency medical services (EMS), paramedics are trained to assess, treat, and transport patients under high-pressure conditions. Their core skills include advanced life support techniques, patient assessment, trauma care, and the administration of medications and interventions necessary for stabilizing patients before they reach the hospital. This article explores the responsibilities of paramedics, their training, and the key skills they use in the field, highlighting their role in improving patient outcomes and ensuring effective emergency medical care.
